Our Programs
Face Shield Initiatives
In early April – with our hometown of New Orleans as a COVID-19 hotspot – hospitals were overwhelmed and frontline healthcare workers were facing critical PPE shortages. We wanted to help. We pivoted from our regular business at MediaBlink, retooled machines and retrained our team, and began hand-manufacturing high-quality, durable, reusable face shields to donate to local medical workers and first responders. We delivered cases to local hospitals, nursing homes, police stations and grocery stores around New Orleans. And word spread. What launched as a way to help locally has now snowballed into an important nationwide mission.
Initiatives We Support
Bursting with Speed
The annual Bursting with Speed 5K is held in memory of Benny Burst (the father of MediaBlink’s co-founders) and supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, specifically advances in the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
Giving Hope NOLA
Giving Hope NOLA – a New Orleans-based nonprofit whose mission is “Where Love Changes Everything” – promotes human dignity by feeding, clothing, housing and providing fellowship to those in need. Founded in 2012 by Troy and Tracy Duhon, what began as a small local nonprofit is now a nationwide foundation.
